I have a questions regarding ch - photosynthesis in higher plants, 1) you taught us that membrane system consists of grana and stroma lamellae but ncert includes matrix stroma along with grana and stroma lamellae in membrane system
2) ncert says that light reaction occurs in Membrane system (that means it would include stroma as well) and at the next moment it says that stroma performs dark reaction.
now I'm confused that who should I follow since ncert is followed in neet but it's getting me confused?

I understood your concern very well. I was also quite surprised while going through the NCERT when the stroma (matrix) was considered a part of the membrane system. However, I felt it was a printing error, as stroma is a proteinacous ground substance in which the membrane system (consisting of grana and stroma lamellae) is present.
As you are aware of, membrane system participates in light reaction and the stroma in dark reaction.
However, I assure you that you can trust on me in this concern as I had referred many valuable and valid sources while preparing the lecture to verify the same and found out that the line in the NCERT was a factual error. Thus, it can be ommitted.
