Currently, we use Five Kingdom Classification proposed by R.H. Whittaker under which all the organisms are placed under 5 kingdoms namely - Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia
According to this system, all the bacteria (including the cyanobacteria) are placed under kingdom Monera. Likewise, all fungi are placed under Kingdom Fungi. While Kingdom Plantae includes - algae, mosses (bryophytes), ferns (pteridophytes), gymnosperms and angiosperms.
