in exothermic reaction, heat is not absorbed then how chemical reaction takes place?
Answer:

For every chemical reaction to take place, it is not necessary that reactants should be heated. Also in case of exothermic reactions, net energy change is release of heat which means that energy absorbed is less than energy released.
