Nawab, This title of respect was used by the Mughal rulers and It refers to a person who has enormous wealth or unusual distinction. The title was later adopted by the independent rulers of Bengal, Awadh and Orcutt under Mughal rule in India. In England, the name Nawab was given to people who earned a lot of money while working for the British East India Company.
