Reflection of light can be of two types – Regular reflection and diffused reflection.
In case of regular reflection, the incident light rays and the reflected light rays are parallel to each other.
However, as shown in the diagram, in case of diffused reflection, thought the incident ray of light is parallel, the diffused ray of light is not parallel. This is due to the irregularities present on the reflecting surface. This is called as diffused light or diffused reflection.
