That is, Pressure = Force/Area. Its SI unit is bar.

There are a few instruments which can be used to measure pressure. Various pressure gauges or vacuum gauges are available which can measure presssure. The standard instrument  for measuring pressure is called barometer. It is mainly used to measure atmosphereic pressure.
