how we can seperate a mixture of sawdust, common salt and sand
Answer:

Pour the above mixture into a container with water and vigorously mix. Incubate the mixture for sometimes. The following is observed.

1) Salt will dissolve into the water, while the sawdust will float on top of the water and sand will precipitate in the container.

2) Using filter paper we can separate out the sawdust from the upper surface of the water and the precipitated sand.

3) Now boil the salt water mixture for a long time to evaporate the water and all salt settles down in the container as crystals. Now all three components are separate from the mixture.
