In the above figure, B is the mean position and A and C are extreme positions of the simple pendulum.
1. So,it is at position B, its kinetic energy is maximum and potential energy is minimum (h is greater than h1).
2.At points A and C the potential energy is maximum and the kinetic energy is zero.
So,at every point, Kinetic energy +Potential energy = constant
Which means if we make small change in displacement of simple pendulum,then this will not effect the pendulum.
