Question:
the circumference of a circle exceeds the diameter by 75 CM. find the radius and diameter of the circle
Answer:

Let the radius of the circle is r

Now diameter of the circle = 2r

The circumference of the circle = 2πr

Now according to question,

     2πr = 2r + 75

=> 2πr - 2r = 75

=> 2r(π - 1) = 75

=> 2r(22/7 - 1) = 75

=> 2r(22 - 7)/7 = 75

=> 2r(22 - 7) = 75*7

=> 2r*15 =  75*7

=> 2r =  (75*7)/15

=> 2r =  5*7

=> 2r = 35

=> r = 35/2

So, radius of the circle = 35/2 = 17.5 cm

and diameter of the circle = 2r = 2* 35/2 = 35 cm
