In an ecosystem, organisms from different community are interrelated to each other in the food cycle or food chain. Food cycle is a complex linear networking in the food web linking the different types of communities. It starts with the producer species, like the green plants or grass which can make their own food using sunlight, followed by the community of animals who feed on them, like the herbivorous animals, which in turn are fed upon by the other community of animals, the carnivores.
