Interference is a phenomenon in which two light waves superimpose to form a resultant wave which is of greater or lower or of the same amplitude.
Interference occurs due to the interaction of waves that are correlated or coherent with each other as either because they come from the same light source or because they have the same or nearly the same frequency.
