Question:
in transformers as current dereases voltage increases but we know that voltage and current are directly proportional v=ir then how in transformers they are inversely proportional??
Answer:

The Ohms law V = IR holds good for closed electrical circuits. The transformer is based on the principle of mutual inductance, a totally different concept.

Mutual induction is the process by which a coil of wire magnetically induces a voltage into another coil located in close proximity to it

The transformer has two coils: primary and secondary. The primary coil, induces emf in the secondary coil based on the voltage applied at the primary coil.

The basic equation for a transformer is based on number of turns N, current I and the voltage V across the primary and the secondary coils. If the subscript P and S are used for primary and secondary coils, then

VP / VS = NP / Ns = Is / IP

Thus, we need to understand the working of transformer to get better clarity.
