Alcohols are characterised by the presence of an -OH functional group. Eg, methanol - CH3OH, ethanol - C2H5OH. The OH bond is highly polar and the H can dissociate as H+, causing the medium to be acidic by lowering the pH. This explains the acidic bonding in alcohol.
