Angiospermic ovules-

It consists of two integuments and nucellus.

Ovule is the structure that gives rise to female reproductive part.

The integument forms its outer layer. The female gametophyte termed a megagametophyte , it is also called embryo sac.

An integument is the protective layer of ovule.

The micropyle allows pollen to enter into ovule for fertilization.After fertilization, nucellus develops into perisperm that gives nutrition to fertilized embryo.

Chalazal pole is opposite to micropyle.
