Vegetative propagation is the process of reproducing plants, in which any portion of the vegetative organs of the plant start reproduce without involving the seeds or spores. It involves only single parent and considered as asexual reproduction.

Examples of vegetative propagation are:

1)  Adventitious buds on the leaves of Bryophyllum are capable of giving rise to new plants

2) Eyes on the potato tuber.
