Codominance is a type of inheritance in which each of the alleles for a given gene expresses equally. Hence, both the traits of a character are equally expressed.

For example, codominance in AB blood group. Blood group A is expressed by allele I^A, while blood group B is expressed by allele I^B. If both these alleles are inherited together, both of them will express themselves equally. Therefore, the resultant blood group will be AB.
