Humans are viviparous as they exhibit internal fertilisation. The fertilised egg develops into an embryo inside the mother's body and draws nourishment from it. Once the foetus is fully developed it is delivered from the mother's body. Unlike the oviparous animals where the egg is not retained within the mother's body until the completion of embryonic development. The embryo in oviparous animals thus draw their nourishment from the egg yolk.
