Hi there!

Bone marrow transplantation in the treatment of SCID is not a permanent cure to the disease because the differentiated cells stop producing Adneosine Deaminase (ADA) after sometime and therefore it requires repeated applications or transplantation from a suitable donor which is difficult to find.
