Question:
in work power energy part 5 video we can also find acceleration by taking f=ma, why to take kinematic equation 3 to find acceleration
Answer:

While finding the solution for a problem given by

A car of mass 3 * 303kg travelling at 64 Km/hr is brought to rest in a distance of 100m by application of brakes. Calculate the work done?

Work done = Vector F.S; Also F = ma but acceleration is not given in the problem. We know final velocity is 0 and initial velocity is 64 km/hr. Hence, u = 0; v = 64 km/hr Atleast if t is known, we can calculate acceleration from the formula a = (v-u) /t So we cannot find acceleration based on the given data.

So we take the 3rd kinematic equation v2 = u2 + 2as ; Now s, u and v are known. Hence, a could be found out easily. That is why, we use the kinematics equation.
