Polar vectors- Vectors which have a starting point or a point of application are called polar vectors.

These vectors are used to describe translational motion.

Eg.- Displacement, force, Linear acceleration etc.

Axial vectors- vectors which represent rotational effect and act along the axis of rotation in accordance with right hand rule are called axial vectors.

These vectors are also called pseudo vectors.

Eg.- Angular velocity, angular momentum, torque etc.
