Ma'am can you please add +ve vector A and a -ve vector A diagrammatically and show how the resultant results to be a zero or a null vector? I already know that when a +ve and a -ve term of the same value is added the answer is 0. But I wanted to know how does it look diagrammatically?
Answer:
If any two vectors are pointing in the opposite directions and they are are co-linear,then in this case,the resultant vector R points along the same line.
As in the figure below, the two vector +A and -A,and the angle between both vectors is 180 .
So, their resultant -
R= √A2+A2-2A×A×cos 180
R= 0
