When we apply force on a block and the block also applies some force on us, then depending upon whichever force is greater, that object moves. Let us consider a tug of war game played by A and B. A applies pulling force and B also applies pulling force. As long as the force is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, nothing happens.
However, if A s force is more, B is pulled towards A. And if B s force is more, A is pulled towards B.
