Question:
find the equation of line passing through (3,-5)and perpendicular to the line through the points (2,5)and (-3,6)
Answer:

The slope of the line joining the points (2, 5) and (-3, 6) is

      m = (6 - 5)/(-3 - 2)

=> m = -1/5

Since the required line is perpendicular to the line joining the points (2, 5) and (-3, 6)

So, slope of required line = -1/m = -1/(-1/5) = 5

Again given line is passing througth the point (3, -5)

Now, equation of line is

      y - 5 = 5(x + 3)

=> y - 5 = 5x + 15

=> 5x + 15 - y + 5 = 0

=> 5x - y + 20 = 0

This is the required equation of line.
