Bohrs atomic model has its importance in the fact that it could overcome the limitations of Daltons proposed atomic theory, which wrongly said that an atom is indivisible. Bohrs atomic theory introduced the presence of protons, electrons and neutrons in an atom as subatomic particles. Thus an atom could be divided or further reduced to these particles and that it was not indivisible.
