Question:
explain whats the difference between shells and subshells
Answer:

Shells are the different energy levels present in an atom. Example, 1st shell is the K shell, 2nd shell is the M shell and so on.

Subshells are those regions in a shell where electrons are found. They are also called as orbitals. For example, K shell has one S orbital, M shell has one S orbital and three P orbitals.
