Question:
Why does Bohr’s model account for only certain specific lines in the emission spectrum of hydrogen
Answer:

The Bohr model is applicable only to hydrogen atom because it considers only the interactions taking place between one electron and the nucleus. The Bohr model is based on the interaction of one electrons revolving around the nucleus in its own energy levels. Presence of any other electrons in the atom leads to repulsion of one electron and changes its energy level.
