Molality - Also known as the molal concentration of a compound, it is a measure of the concentration of a solute in a solution in terms of amount of substance in a specified amount of mass of the solvent. It is different from molarity as the latter is based on a specified volume of solution.
Molarity - It is the number of moles of solute per liter of solution. It is generally used to express the concentration of solutions.
Mole fraction - It is equal to the moles of one component divided by the total moles in the solution or mixture. It is also used to determine concentration of solutions.
