Herbarium is a store house or collection of dried, pressed and preserved plant specimens on sheets for reference in future use. The plant specimens so stored are classified according to the universally accepted system of classification. The sheet on which the specimens are preserved contains the following information:

• Date and place of collection
• English and Local names
• Botanical name and family
• Collector's name
