Respected madam i am confused very much with learning a lot on taxa and taxon.sir in one video lecture it was written that "dolphin represent taxa at very low level,fish is litter higher level of taxa then dolphin and once again animal is at higher level of taxa".Sir it says that in dolphin it comes dolphins of various sizes so it will represent taxa.but as far as i have considered taxa is all the taxonomic group when combines together.so it will be using word taxon that is all singular ,not the taxa.why he has used that word ? Also in the defination of taxonomy "it was written that taxonomy is branch of science which deals with classification of taxa at diffent level" why this taxa suitable word for this sir why not taxon in both the statements. plz answer my both the question with remain respectfull to you?
