In the structure of Monocot Root Closed vascular tissue is present which means Cambium is absent so no Secondary Xylem and Phloem found correct mam! but Can you please Clear me mam that in dicot root structure you have talked that meristematic tissue develop on pericycle due to which secondary xylem and phloem developed so which is that meristematic tissue due to which secondary xylem and phloem developed .
(a)Is it cambium or what?
(b)If it is cambium than is it open vascular bundle where Cambium always present?
Answer:
Pericycle gives rise to secondary xylem and phloem in dicot roots.
And yes open vascular bundle occur in dicots.
In monocots, no secondary growth occurs.
