And actually name the other cell to which companion cells are connected beside seive tube cells?
Answer:
Sieve cells are elongated , food conducting cell in phloem characteristics of gymnosperms. Sieve cells have pores through which nutrients flow cell to cell but they have no sieve plates like the more specialized soeve tube elements of angiosperms.
Sieve tubes have companion cells associatwd with them and this area are well differentiated than sieve cells.
