Answer:
Rainbow forms due to presence of moisture in atmosphere in presence of sunlight.
Thats the reason, rainbow forms after rain. The small water droplets present in atmosphere after rain, work as prism and the white light from sun get dispersed from these droplets and the rainbow forms.
But after some time when the moisture reduces in atmosphere the rainbow disappears.
