Question:
how do some people have both myopia and hypermetropia
Answer:

At one time, a person certainly cannot have both myopia and hypermeteropia. Only as a person ages, the lens might become thicker as a result of which the curvature changes and hypermeteropia develops. But if this person was already myopic, then the former phenomenon might lead to hypermeteropia only if the positive power is higher in magnitude compared to the negative myopic power.
