Question:
An object is placed at a distance of 10 cm from a onvex mirror of focal length 15 cm. Find the position and nature of the image.
Answer:

Object distance (u) = -10 cm

Focal length (f) = 15 cm

image distance (v) = ?

We know, 1/f = 1/v +1/u

or, 1/15 = 1/v + (-1/10)

or, 1/v = 1/15 - 1/10 = 6

So, we can say, image is located at a distance 6m from the mirror on the other side of the mirror.

So, magnificent, m = -v/u = 6/10 = 0.6

The nature of the image is virtual, diminished.
