In a circuit, the electric current flows from the positive terminal of cell to the negative terminal of cell.

Because, as we know, electric current always flow from high potential to low potential.

And due to more number of electrons at the negative terminal of cell ,the electrons flow from negative terminal to positive terminal.

So, the direction of current flow is opposite to the flow of electrons.
