What happens when dilute Sulphuric acid is added to Zn granules? is the question which was asked in exam practice session of this site and here I guess zinc and sulphuric acid react to form zinc salt and hydrogen gas
Zn (s) + H2SO4 (aq) → ZnSO4(s) + H2(g)
but none of the options given has this one. So, I wanna know what is the correct answer for this I m bit confused
Answer:
when zinc react with sulphuric acid, it gives us zinc sulphate , hydrogen sulphide, and water If H2SO4 is concentrated.
4Zn + 5H2SO4 --> 4ZnSO4 + H2S + 5H2O
If H2SO4 is diluted, Zn + H2SO4 --> ZnSO4+ H2
