Usually, when a salt is dissolved in water, it is present in its ionised form. So if there is acid in the medium, that is there is H⁺ ions in the solution, then it might react with the anionic part of the salt and form another acid. However, such reactions are subject to activity rates of the anions formed, and is not so common.
