CO2 is a non metallic oxide and also an acid. But it does not have H ions and it does not donate H ions.So how CO2 is an acid.
Answer:
Carbon dioxide gas is not acidic, it is neutral. But when carbon dioxide is dissolved in water, it produces carbonic acid, which is acidic in nature. It is because carbonic acid dissociates in water to give H+ ions and carbon dioxide.
