Right circular cylinder:
A right circular cylinder is a three-dimensional object with two congruent circles as parallel bases and a lateral
surface consisting of a rectangle.
Base and side: The bases of a right circular cylinder are always congruent and parallel to each other.
Height: The height h is the perpendicular distance between the bases.
Radius: The radius r of a cylinder is the radius of a base.
Now, given, area of the base of a right circular cylinder is 17600 cm2
=> 2πr2 = 17600 {Since there are two bases}
=> r2 = 17600/2π
=> r2 = 17600/{(22*2)/7}
=> r2 = (17600*7)/44
=> r2 = 400*7
=> r2 = 2800
=> r = √(2800)
=> r = √(4*7*100)
=> r = 2*10√7
=> r = 20√7
Again, given volume of cylinder = 140800
=> πr2 h = 140800
=> π * 2800* h = 140800
=> h = 140800/(π * 2800)
=> h = 1408/(π * 28)
=> h = 1408/(22/7 * 28)
=> h = 1408/(22 * 4)
=> h = 1408/88
=> h = 16
Now, curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh
= 2 * (22/7) * 20√7 * 16
= (2 * 22 * 20√7 * 16)/7
= (14080√7)/7 cm2
