Answer:

Given equation is ax2 + bx + c = 0

and sina and cosa are the roots of the equation.

Now sina + cosa  = -b/a

sina*cosa = c/a

Now  sin2 a + cos2 a = 1

=>  (sina +cosa)2 - 2 sina*cosa = 1

=>  (b/a)2 - 2c /a =1

=> b2 /a2  -2c/a =1

=> (b2 - 2ac)/a2 = 1

=> b2  - 2ac = a2 

=> b2 = a2 + 2ac
