There are two categories of reflection on the basis of reflecting surface.
Regular or uniform reflection- When a beam of parallel light rays incident on a smooth and plane surface , the reflected rays will also be parallel , and it is called the regular reflection .
Irregular or non-uniform reflection-When a beam of parallel light rays incident on an irregular or rough surface then after reflection rays scattered in all directions.It is called irregular or diffuse reflection.
